Donald J Kaufmann is a seasoned professional in the insurance and investment industry with over four decades of experience. His journey began in 1978, transitioning from his work on nuclear power plants to a lifelong career in life insurance. Holding a BS degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Nuclear Science from LSU, Donald's passion for the insurance industry was nurtured by his father, Hans A. Kaufmann, who started selling life insurance in 1949.
After a year with Equitable Life Assurance in Fort Worth, Texas, Donald returned to Baton Rouge to join his father's Transamerica Life Insurance Agency. Over 15 years as an agent and seven years as a Corporate General Agent, he honed his skillset before joining the Guardian Life Insurance Company of America in December
In addition to his client-focused work, Donald is passionate about mentoring and training new agents, a value instilled by his father. He moderated the Life Underwriter Training Council for four years.
When he's not serving his clients or mentoring new agents, Donald can be found donating his time to various community initiatives, embodying his commitment to making a significant difference to those around him.
